Cookie Policy

Information about how we use cookies on our website and how you can control them.

Last updated: February 5, 2026

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to site owners.

Cookies can be "first-party" (set by the website you are visiting) or "third-party" (set by a service used by the website, such as an analytics provider).

Cookies we use

We use a minimal number of cookies, primarily for analytics purposes. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking you across other websites.

Purpose of each cookie

_ga

This cookie is set by Google Analytics 4 and is used to distinguish unique visitors to our site. It generates a random, unique identifier for each visitor and is used to calculate visitor, session, and campaign data for our site analytics reports. This cookie does not contain any personally identifiable information.

_ga_*(e.g., _ga_XXXXXXXXXX)

This cookie is specific to our Google Analytics 4 property and is used to persist session state. It helps us understand how users navigate between pages during a single visit and tracks aggregate usage patterns. The asterisk represents our unique GA4 measurement ID.

Third-party cookies

Our analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics, a third-party service. Google may use the data collected to contextualize and personalize ads in its own advertising network, though we have configured our GA4 implementation to anonymize IP addresses.

When you click on an affiliate link and visit a third-party financial product provider, that provider may set their own cookies. These are outside our control and are governed by the respective provider's cookie policy. We do not set any affiliate tracking cookies ourselves.

How to manage cookies

You have several options for managing cookies on our website:

Browser settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these in the "Options," "Settings," or "Preferences" menu of your browser. Here are links to cookie management instructions for popular browsers:

Google Analytics opt-out

Google provides a browser add-on that allows you to opt out of Google Analytics across all websites. You can download it from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Delete existing cookies

You can delete cookies that have already been stored on your device through your browser settings. This will not prevent new cookies from being set on future visits unless you also adjust your browser's cookie settings.

Please note: Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some websites. Our site will continue to work without cookies, but we will not be able to analyze site usage to improve your experience.

Cookie consent

When you first visit our website, we inform you about our use of cookies. By continuing to use our site, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your browser settings or using the Google Analytics opt-out tool described above.

Under the GDPR and the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet), we are required to obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. Our analytics cookies fall under this category, and we respect your right to opt out.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
